When you scan a receipt with Hisbah, the image is processed to extract information about items, prices, and taxes. This processing happens on your device and the data is not sent to our servers unless absolutely necessary for the AI processing, in which case it is immediately deleted after processing.

App Permissions

Hisbah requires the following permissions to function properly:

  To scan receipts

• Photo library access

  To select existing receipt photos

• Contacts (optional)

  To easily add friends for bill splitting

You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings, though this may limit certain functionality within the app.
